Our Ragged Life rag rug HQ is located in the beautiful grounds of Delamere House (cardinal Wolsey’s old hunting lodge) in the quaint village of Great Wymondley. There is plenty of free on-site parking but, for those taking public transport, the venue can be reached by travelling to Hitchin station (direct trains from London Kings Cross, Finsbury Park, Cambridge, Peterborough, and beyond) and taking a short, approx £7, taxi ride. One of the many perks of doing a workshop at our Rag Rug HQ is that you have free reign to choose from our extensive fabric hoard. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided throughout the day. Ragged Life London HQ
Wapping, London, E1W 3AU
Our Ragged Life London HQ is located in the beautiful, cobbled area of “Wapping” near the Tower of London. Formerly the home of newspaper printing (somewhat infamously so), Wapping is full of characterful warehouse conversions and pretty canals. The workshop itself will take place in Elspeth’s cosy London flat (which you’re welcome to have a browse of here) and is capped at a maximum of six students per class. The full address of the venue is sent out after booking but the closest stations are Wapping (5 minute walk), Shadwell (7 minute walk) and Tower Hill (20 minute walk). Le Salon Privé
St. Margarets, London
You can’t help but be in awe when you see the beautiful stained glass windows of Le Salon Privé restaurant in St. Margarets, South West London. The classic French restaurant has a wonderful, cosy upstairs room perfect for crafty workshops. All our full day workshops held at Salon Privé include a steak frites lunch (vegetarian options available) and afternoon coffee. Tea and Crafting
Covent Garden & Camden, London
Tea & Crafting started out as a little pocket of creative calm in the bustling streets of Camden, North London. Now they have a new gorgeous venue in Covent Garden too. Both workshop spaces are filled with beautiful handmade pieces from every craft under the sun and are close to underground stations so easy to travel to from anywhere in or around London. Please do make sure to check which of the two Tea & Crafting venues your workshop is being held at before booking (details on the "Book a Class" page). The Village Haberdashery

The Village Haberdashery is a modern craft shop and class studio based in West Hampstead, London. Their aim is to inspire everyone who walks through the door to make something amazing (which we think is amazing)! The workshop space is airy and bright, filled with natural light and lots of inspiration. The studio is within a 5 minute walk of both West Hampstead Tube (Jubilee line) and West Hampstead Thameslink (which goes from Highbury & Islington, Richmond or Clapham Junction). Make Create Craft

Our Surrey venue, “Make Create Craft” is a light, airy workshop space inside an old Victorian school. There is plenty of space to spread out in the workshop room itself and plenty of parking outside for those driving. Kate, the owner of Make Create Craft, is a wonderful baker so you can expect delicious homemade cake at any workshop held here. Tea, coffee and soft drinks are included too. The Craft Space
The Craft Space is a fabulous venue dedicated to all kinds of crafts, from sewing & patchwork to knitting & crochet (and rag rugging of course)! Nestled in the gorgeous town of Trowbridge, a hop and a skip from Bath, The Craft Space is a crafty retreat made specifically to make you feel comfy. There is plenty of free parking in the area if you plan to drive but the venue is only a 15 minute walk from Trowbridge station so public transport works equally well. The York Makery

The York Makery is the place to go to for modern and fun crafting in the historic centre of York. Kayleigh, the owner and head crafter at The York Makery, has packed the space with beautiful craft materials which will certainly get your creative juices flowing. They’re easy to find too, as they’re situated just outside the York Walls – an easy walk from York Station (for trains) or any local bus stop.
