Introductory Rag Rug Kit
Our classic "Introductory Rag Rug Kit" is perfect for rag rug beginners or just as a refresher for those who've done the craft before. It includes all the basic rag rug tools and instructions so you're ready to get started almost straight away - all you need to do is to source the fabric (which is the fun part). All our tools have been quality checked by yours truly and are the same tools we use to make all our Ragged Life products - so you can rest assured that you're getting what the experts use. Fabric-wise, anything can be used... t-shirts, fabric offcuts, cotton, fleece, silk... you name it, we've used it! This kit has been featured in a number of the top lifestyle and craft magazines, including Mollie Makes, Simply Sewing, Homemaker Magazine & Hertfordshire Life. It's even been featured on TV! It's the perfect gift for the crafters in your life.
Easy Peasy Rag Rug Kit
Our "Easy Peasy Rug Kit" has the same quality tools and instructions as our "Introductory Rag Rug Kit", but also includes a Rag Rug Spring Tool, which is the quickest and easiest tool to make shaggy rag rugs. With the Spring Tool, you can work entirely from the front of the hessian (as opposed to holding your fabric underneath the hessian with the latch hook or working entirely from the back with the prodder). This makes it easy to see exactly what you’re doing, particularly when you’ve already rag rugged a section. This means that you can design and execute your rag rug creations with confidence. Read more about why we love the Spring Tool and see it in action here.
Deluxe Rag Rug Kit
Our new "Deluxe Rag Rug Kit" is ideal for rag rug beginners who are looking to get their hands on all the tools they need to do the loopy, short shaggy and shaggy techniques of rag rugging quickly and easily. Not only does it include all the quality tools of the "Easy Peasy Rag Rug Kit", but it also includes a pair of our super sharp Ragged Life Rag Rug Scissors, as well as a FREE piece of practice hessian. Rag rugging involves a lot of cutting of fabric, which is why it’s important to have the best scissors for the job. Our rag rug scissors are specifically designed to work with a whole spectrum of different fabrics – from jersey, cotton and lycra, right up to blanket yarn, fleece and denim. They are also made to cut through lots of layers of fabric at the same time to reduce on fabric prep time. See our rag rug scissors in action here here.
Ultimate Rag Rug Kit
The clue’s in the name, but our Ragged Life "Ultimate Rag Rug Kit" includes everything you could possibly need when you start out rag rugging for the first time.
As well as all the contents of the "Deluxe Rag Rug Kit", the Ultimate kit includes a cheery rag rug notebook (with alternating lined and plain pages for sketching and musing), as well as a signed copy of our modern rag rug book “Rag Rugs, Pillows & More”. Our book has over thirty rag rug projects, ranging in size and difficulty from clutch bags and draft excluders, to ammonite rugs and pouffes. Each project includes easy-to-follow step by step illustrations, as well as gorgeous lifestyle photography. With all the tools, instructions and inspiration in the "Ultimate Rag Rug Kit", you'll be making your first rag rug masterpiece in no time!
Rag Rug Cushion Kit
Rag rug cushions make a great first project for any rag rug beginner. They're small enough that they don't seem too daunting for someone who has never done the craft before, but are large enough that after finishing one, you can feel confident embarking on a number of different projects. Our kit includes all the basic tools and instructions so you're ready to get rag rugging straight away. All you need to source is a pair of fabric scissors and the fabric (which is the fun part). Fabric-wise, anything can be used... t-shirts, fabric offcuts, cotton, fleece, silk... you name it, we've used it! You can rag rug your cushion using any rag rug technique (loopy, short shaggy or shaggy), or even using a combination, so you can really let your creativity run riot. We recommend adding an extra hemmed cushion hessian to your order when checking out as you'll almost certainly catch the rag rug bug and want to make a second cushion to match your first.
